Edible Summerhouse June 25th 2019

Getting that email invite to photograph an event such as this, was the best thing ever! Loved being a part of such a wonderful community. This years Edible Summerhouse events took place at La Lomita Ranch and the day could not have been a more perfect June evening. All week long guests were able to enjoy a curated week ( June 24-28) of food experiences, with opportunities to try one-time-only food collaborations, morning wellness sessions, farm shares, fireside chats with industry pioneers, intimate dinner socials, behind-the-scenes magazine shoots, media meet-and-greets, chef’s tables and more as they gathered together in merriment. Each day a different photographer had the chance to share the event through their lens. This was my day. I also learned a few restaurateur factoids during ‘The Business of Food’ Fireside Chat featuring Joseph Pitruzzelli, owner of Wurstkuche in Los Angeles & Debbie Thomas, owner of Thomas Hill Organics in Paso Robles (which is a personal favorite place of mine to visit for special occasions). For the dinner portion of the event I got to meet some pretty amazing women at the Women Founders Dinner, a farm-to-table dinner celebrating influential women who are outstanding in their field. Food provided by Lido at Dolphin Bay, giving that family style dinner that made the whole table ooh and ahh as dishes were being passed around. And all the delicious wine was provided by Chamisal Vineyards & Malene Wines. If I learned anything from this event it’s that I don’t think I will be able to go next year as a photographer… only because I will want to be a guest at this spectacular event. I hope to see everyone there next year! A special thanks to Edible San Luis Obispo for giving us the chance to experience the California Central Coast at it’s finest.
